About My VCU Experience
I was fortunate to complete my undergraduate education at VCU in Richmond, VA, where I had the opportunity to immerse myself in my future field and discover more about my passions and strengths. During my time there, I took courses in marketing, communications, public relations, and design, which provided me with a well-rounded understanding of the industry. I majored in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Communications and Marketing, and I also pursued a minor in Media Studies.

I believe in the value of written, verbal, and visual communication. In my time at VCU, I have taken many photos of the things and scenery around me. I believe that every photo tells a story of its own. Featured above and below, are some pictures that I have taken around this beautiful campus. I have also retouched each photo to place emphasis on their inherent beauty. It has been a dream to go to school in diverse Richmond, and I wanted to be able to capture that, even without human subjects. Communication itself is a wonderful art, and visual communication is one that I especially enjoy.

Op-Ed Assignment
For this assignment, I wrote an op-ed piece about a Miracle child from Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. In order to draw attention from the reader, the story is emotional and relevant. At the end, I placed emphasis on the importance of showing compassion and making a difference, encouraging readers to donate money, toys, or some of their time to make a child smile.
